Wegovy®

Wegovy® is an FDA-approved branded Semaglutide medication used for chronic weight management in eligible patients. Semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist involved in appetite regulation, satiety signaling, delayed gastric emptying, and glucose-dependent metabolic pathways. Through MEDVera, Wegovy® may be prescribed when a licensed clinician determines that branded semaglutide therapy is appropriate.
